The Melyne is Samshield’s long women’s winter riding parka, designed to provide maximum protection on the harshest winter days while combining technical performance with refinement. It is suited to outdoor use and stable wear in cold weather, including show jumping, dressage, and hunter disciplines.
Certified waterproofing, sealed seams, and a high-performance water-repellent treatment help protect against wet conditions. The parka features a water column rating of > 10,000 mm, and the treatment achieves an ISO 90 spray test rating, maintaining ISO 80 after 20 washes. Breathable, quick-drying, and abrasion-resistant, it is insulated with plant-based DuPont™ Sorona® padding for lasting warmth.
Practical details include a removable hood with black chrome eyelets and a windstopper, a tone-on-tone coil zipper, and heat-stamped pulls on the front pockets. A magnetic closure placket covers the main zipper, while a discreet phone pocket with an invisible closure sits under the sleeve. A Swarovski® crystal jewelry patch on the front, tone-on-tone embroidery with Swarovski® crystals on the hood and front pockets, and an adjustable waist belt complete the design.
