The Acavallo® pony non-slip flat combines the Classic gel design with a cut-out sheepskin edge. Shock-absorbing, non-slip and breathable, it provides excellent contact with the saddle while allowing the horse’s skin to breathe during riding.
The shaped gel is thicker than a traditional pad, combining cushioning with grip to help prevent unwanted saddle movement forwards, backwards and sideways. It can also compensate for small imperfections in the horse’s back, including more rounded conformations, without altering the saddle’s balance. The gel’s central section is thinner to fit around the withers and back, leaving space between the saddle and gel for continuous air circulation. Hypoallergenic and non-toxic, the gel is suitable for direct contact with the skin and can be cut to adapt to different types of saddle.
The natural Acavallo® sheepskin edge is soft and delicate, with a high density of fibers per square centimeter. It helps prevent chafing, abrasions and blisters, and absorbs sweat, releasing it into the air seven times faster than synthetic materials. Sheepskin also acts as a 100% insulator, preventing electrostatic charges from being emitted when it rubs against the horse’s skin.
